WKA QUALIFIED OFFICIALS

Behind every successful championship or competition is a dedicated team of referees and judges who uphold the values, standards, and traditions of WKA.

WKA officials form an integral part of this World Body. Under the guidance and leadership of the Referees President,  they are continuously developed through education, training, and practical experience. Together, they uphold fairness, integrity, discipline and sportsmanship, while contributing to the development of Kobudo and both aspects of Karate - discipline and Sport.

WKA takes pride in developing and recognising officials who demonstrate genuine commitment and loyalty to the organisation. They are not driven by positions, titles or personal recognition, but by a shared belief in WKA's values and purpose. As representatives of WKA, they proudly wear its badge wherever they officiate, recognising its distinctive design and symbolism   as expressions of their professional identity, commitment and pride.

At the heart of WKA lies the Founders' aim - to do the right thing - hand in hand with their vision of helping athletes and Karate practitioners fulfil their full potential, achieve their goals and become better versions of themselves. Together, these principles guide the purpose and commitment expected of every WKA official.

As ambassadors of these principles and vision, WKA officials uphold the highest standards of officiating and represent the World Body with integrity, pride and professionalism, recognising that this commitment also involves a journey of continuous learning and  professional  growth meant to bring about unity.
